I am enjoying your build- the large pictures take a while to load but it is great being able to scope out all the details. I am wondering how you are going to supply air to the front flare nozzles- it appears they are 1/2" and will pass a lot of air. Gene

I didn’t want to use compressed air for blower bar to eliminate because of noise from compressor so thats why I use old blower that was given to me couple years ago. When trying to vacuum smoke out the suction is only good for about 2 feet so blowing smoke to vacuum fans was only way I could see to get it out. I originally had twice as many nozzle’s but found cutting number down to half gave me plenty of air flow to get it back to suction fans and since they are threaded I can plug or add as needed. Also the blower is on VFD for adjustment air flow. I’m going to place sheet metal on top of slats but leave 1” opening on both sides for draw on edges from vacuum duct under top of table to catch smoke on sides. I’m sure there will be some modifications that will be done to get it working right.

I was thinking an additional blower as well. I have 4 2.5" muffin fans that attach with magnets where needed but that is a hassle. We cut quite a bit of styrene for paint stencils and I seem to react to the fumes, nose just drips. I will be re-engineering the exhaust now that I have some time to spend on it.

Finished wiring got everything working from panel. Now I have to get controller to talk to software. I had my doubts about turning main switch on with all the wiring that was involved. I had visions of electrical box going up in
. The remote control was easy to get working and exhaust fans and blower are so much quieter than compressed air. I’m starting to see light at end of tunnel.

Everything works except my controller software. RDC6445G will not enable homing switches, the option is not listed in settings in lightburn where it suppose to be. I’ve updated firmware on controller and uninstall lightburn software and reinstall, deactivated the key after upgrade and reloaded. I’m out of ideas. I can run a program and if I change speed on computer it changes size of art work. I have tried everything that I can think of so now I’m going to start checking cables and anything that I may have overlooked. The motors for x,y,z all run with remote and controller keys and will change speeds on controller. Lose all energy to even work on it anymore. Back to drawing board.

Lightburn support walked me through homing and other settings to get started. Installed mirrors and did some adjustment on 150w. My steps were way off changed some settings and got it close. I have a lot of playing with settings yet but now it’s just fine tuning. When I burned some squares I forgot to turn on exhaust and blower. Had lot smoke then turned on exhaust and blower couldn’t see any smoke really going to like that. It worked better than I had hoped even being all the way to front. Still need to get 40w adjusted but now have idea what to do.

Display start stop button isn’t working as expected need to do some research on that. That is the last thing I need to sort out.
