G'day everyone,

So a couple days ago I purchased a second hand cheap laser engraver. It originally came form Ebay so doesn't really have a brand, just Blue and white.. And I know it has a cutting area of 300 x 500mm. So in the few days I've had it, even though it still worked, I've found out the water flow sensor doesn't work (ordered a new one), the membrane film on the Ruida HMI has switches that are worn/not working (I think because I couldn't get the Speed, Pulse or Min to do anything. I ordered a new one, we'll see how that goes replacing!) but the most important thing I've learned so far has been the "SET DEFAULT PARA" and "SET FACTORY PARA" menu selections. Boy did they not mean what I thought they meant! So here I am noob level one player, sent here by a Facebook group, looking for the Vendor settings for my machine.

I am hoping that the 5030 / 3050 settings posted in these forums are the ones I need. I got a few things going again already - my switch directions were unaffected, limit switches seem to be working, area updated, speed seems to be good at 200mm/s (down from a 1000 or something, it was harsh), step length calibration and single glass tube. But we'll see, much to learn and I seem to be doing it the hard way!

Welcome Terence - Sorry for your troubles - after to you get thing up and running I recommend you back up your vendor settings - you know why.
