Howdy all,

Not new to CNC or gantry machines, but new to shiny bright lights that cut things. I have a 100W Monport (same as most all China machines I gather), it's been fun to setup. Also just setup an 80w MOPA fiber laser for a friend.

I've really enjoyed watching Russ' videos, lot's of little nuggets of wisdom floating around in them.

I just read that the forum will be shutting down soon?? Hopefully someone will keep it going, seems like a pretty valuable resource for people who like to tinker with their toys.

Oh and just so you know, I started screwing with my machine before I read any instructions and I may have changed some machine parameters before I realized that you are suppose to backup the machine settings... Oh well, it seems to work OK after "resetting to factory defaults" on the Ruida controller. Hopefully it's good LOL!

Anyways, thanks for the add...
