On the subject of Mirrors ... I tried using Lens Cleaner and Lens cleaning Tissues .... I think I scratched my Mirror by rubbing too hard .... is there a better way .... a different chemical ? .... a cloth instead of tissue ?

Thank You again for any and all insight :)

What you are using should not be a problem, some mirrors are poor quality and easily damaged. It is hard to know what you are buying, unfortunately.

I use IPA and a paper towel to clean and then lens paper to remove any film left behind. I find the IPA loosens the dirt enough I don't need a lot of pressure.

IPA? In my mind, that's Indian Pale Ale, and I'm pretty sure that would be a bad idea. What do you mean?

You are correct - Indian Pale Ale would make a mess of the mirrors and destroy the taste as well.
My basic rule is don't drink and cut. :?

I don't subscribe to the paper towel idea, I would not use them on my glasses or lenses or mirrors. The normal way to clean is to use Lens Cleaning solution, if that does not clean the lens, I try IPA and then acetone after that. And definitely lens tissues.

Hi again .... just Curious .... would the lens cleaning cloths you get with new Glasses work with Lens cleaning solution .... they seem a lot softer than the tissue ?

Yes, If the cloth is clean.
If you have been carring the lns cloth in your pocket I woould not recommend using it.

the advantage of lens paper tissues is they are a one time use, cheap and effective.
If you would clean a camera lens with it then you can clean a laser focus lens.

You can buy this stuff in many different places - -the link below is an example
