I recently purchased Bodor's rotary chuck. Other than their YT vid on how to hook it up, there is no information on any of the parameters to make it work properly. Before I start spending too much time, has anyone else gotten one to work? If so, I'd be interested in knowing what steps you went thru.

Get revised manual if you have not alreadyRobert Loesch wrote: Tue Apr 02, 2019 I recently purchased Bodor's rotary chuck. Go to page 65...read there about how.....be sure to power the machine off BEFORE connecting the rotary
Before revising parameters in your setup (except to enable rotary) I would experiment to determine if any values must be changed.
If you do change anything make a note (write it down what you change so you can go back to that value).
In my system I hookup my rotary, power on the machine (this is where the manual cold be better) ...the head will home to the X axis - but it won't move in the Y Axis - the manual directs repositioning the gantry to trip the Y Axis sensor....just use a screw driver or similar metal object to mate with the sensor (touch once..back off a bit touch again and you are done (watch the X axis for a clue)
Now select READ in the RDWORKS user tab - enable rotary
At this point I am ready to engrave I don't have to calculate anything or change setting based upon the diameter of cylinders I engrave
You will have to start experimenting because I am not familiar with you machine or chuck.

Pete,
What is the maximum diameter you can handle in your rotary and still have the proper focus height? With mine, I just found out with a 7mm focus height (1.5" lens), the max diameter is 72mm (<2 7/8"). I thought I'd have more head room. Also is your rotary chuck based or roller based?

Without doing anything extra I can do a 4" dia cylinder. My bed has 7" of Z travel, my focal distance is 7.5mm with a 2" lens and I can make more Z room by pulling slats.
I have 4 wheels roller (not the hot dog roller)
