Hello. I have a problem with laser 900x600 - After reinstaling the Windows 10, and instaling RDworks8 once again the laser get crazy:
Main problem is that it’s RUIDA IS showing that table is 10 000 x10 000 and not starting in home position.
Even after:
resetting, reinstalling windows, reinstalling RDWORKS8,
trying with 2nd computer with other windows,
even after loading settings from smaller laser (I had also 50x30) screen on RUIDA shows that X and y start with parameters x 10 000 y 10 000. Ruida is model RDC6442s. Each time when I start head want to go way beyond the laser (hitting the metal construction if not stoped with ESC). And never come to normal starting position (top, left corner is defined in RDworks but RUIDA don’t see it).

Have you backed up your vendor setting? If not you need to do that. viewtopic.php?f=104&t=3459

Thank you soo much for this direction. My main problem is that I don’t have a copy of USER SETTINGS and VENDORS Settings as when I was starting work with laser I haven’t got any idea that I should make the copy. BY CHANCE YOU or ANYBODY HERE CAN SENT ME THEM? I would highly appreciate help.

The start position is determined by where the limit switches are on the X and Y axis. Take a look at your machine and find the physical switches.

.
Limit switches for Right Rear configuration.jpg
This is my machine and the switches are on the rear of the side rails and on the Right side of the gantry- so this is a RightRear[or top] configuration. If your software is set up for a different configuration than where the physical switches are, it will never home.
I have the Vendor and User files for a similar sized machine with a 100w tube but it is also a RightRear config machine. Gene

Thank you! I finally managed to fix this problem. After one week of this crazy way of working (hitting a gantry) also lens and mirrors needed to be adjusted once again. I hope now it will be working as previously. Once again thank you for support.

The problem with laser 900x600 - After reinstaling the Windows 10, and instaling RDworks8 once again the laser get crazy:
Main problem was that it’s RUIDA Was showing that table is 10 000 x 10 000 and not starting in home position.
Ruida is model RDC6442s. Each time when I was starting head wanted to go way beyond the laser (hitting the metal construction if not stoped with ESC). And never come to normal starting position (top, left corner was defined in RDworks but RUIDA didn’t see it). Please see the movie.

Turns up that LIMITS Switch were not working correctly.

Solution:
1) with a hand I moved head right button corner (opposite corner to home)

2) as recommended having prepared in hand a flat-blade screwdriver

3) Turned the power on. As soon as the gantry started moving, touched the screwdriver to the limit switch (started with the Y-axis).

The switch lighted up, and the axis stoped moving.

Did the same for the other axis.

After this head was moving correctly but the engraving and cutting was still not okay (please see photo below) so I fasten better the lens, adjust mirrors and checked rolls in gantry. And finally it was working as previously.
Thank you all for support in resolving this problem.
