I dreaded the idea of having to disconnect the hard piped exhaust duct, pull my laser out, disconnect the Y-axis, and connect in the rotary each time I wanted to do some engraving with the new rotary unit. I wanted a switch and a DIN receptacle inside where I could easily switch back and forth between normal use and rotary use. Some of the less expensive Chinese lasers have the Y-axis plug easily accessible, but Bodor put theirs to the right of the controller inside the back cover.
At first, I wanted to use the rear plate inside the laser, but I found out quickly that there is a double wall with about a 3/4" gap which forced me to use another solution. I ended up using the right rear side where there was plenty of space behind the platform. It works perfectly and makes my life easier when switching projects.
Bodor should think about making something like this a standard feature on future units.

Very slick.
My Chinese machine has numerous holes throughout and I'm slowly figuring out what they're probably meant for.
