Hey friends, I've got a word in rdworks that has been imported from a DXF. The way it shows up in RDworks is each individual letter in the word is selectable.

When I go to etch this using SCAN mode, it ends up etching each individual letter at a time, making the process much slower than it needs to be.

Is there any way to somehow group the letters in the word so it treats them all as one thing?

Thanks,
Jason

There is a group/ungroup function at the top of the page- it is red and yellow. That is probably not your current problem tho- go into the layer menu [double click the layer color you are using] and untick independent output towards the middle of the window. That seems to reset itself at random on my system- one of the small pleasures of RDworks .

It was independent output that solved mine previously.

I think if the word started with a Capital it did two letters ... strange

Thanks guys! Tested it out tonight and unchecking that "independent output" fixed it.
