HI,
thanks for letting me join the forum.
I retired 3 years and revisited my old hobby of wood turning. Things have moved on from wood turning to cover several other craft forms, frequently working with both wood, acrylic, cast resin and slate. This has now developed into a small business, which I run together with my wife Debbie. We invested in a CNC router last year and have now decided that a laser would be the perfect accompaniment to our other techniques.
We are currently awaiting the installation of a 50W RDL-4040.
This is a technique I have absolutely no experience of, so I am looking forward to gaining some pearls of wisdom from you guys.
Cheers
Alan

Welcome Alan- I think you will find the laser will fit in well with your other disciplines. Retirement can be a beautiful thing, but it is up to us to make it so- sounds like you are on your way. Enjoy, Gene
