I am late to this material and I am really loving it. Different companies seem to have different names for it. Some call it Sign Grade acrylic- it seems to be used for vacuum forming pan faces for signs more than polycarbinate now because it doesn't yellow in the sun. It is often sold in rolls like polycarb but I have found sheets that are 52x100, in fact I cut 34" and 22.5" circles out of 10 sheets last weekend [40 of the 22.5 circles- ended up with a ton of scraps as I had to cut them down to 35x52 sheets to fit my bed]. I have only seen a translucent white but I believe that clear would also be available as a lot of formed sign faces are painted on the inside. I cuts like acrylic and glues like acrylic but is not brittle like acrylic- if dropped on the floor it does not shatter or crack. I put a strip in the vise and bent it to 90° without breaking it. It is about 50% more expensive and most common in .177".
