Hi, Thad here. I'm as green to laser engraving as a pool of ocean water.
My wife and I are hobbiests and are interested in engraving on cork. We make soy candles and would like to embellish them with the cork. I do some amateur woodworking and would like to experiment engraving plaques, signs, and pieces that I build.
I stumbled upon Russ's YouTube videos and have thoroughly engrossed myself in learning more about lasers and engraving.
We are strongly considering getting a 80 watt Chinese machine.
Thanks for the opportunity! I am looking forward to learning more and bouncing ideas off of you who are active forum users.

Welcome along :)

I have a small stack of Cork arriving in a few days to play with. I have some gaskets I want to cut but that will leave the inside bit free to play with and some engraving and additional cutting. I will drop some results in the 'Materials to Laser' section.
