Hey Y'all,

Feel like I am a bit late to the laser cutting craze. So I have a lot of catching up to do. Have been burning up YouTube watching Russ's videos every night until my eyes burn. Just ordered a 130 Watt Chinese machine on Ebay.

Retired RF Engineer. Have owned a 48" x 48" CNC Router and CNC Plasma Cutter for many years. Have experience with Adobe Illustrator, Vectric Aspire, and Inkscape. At this point the plan is to continue using those design tools to generate dxf files and then import to RDWorks. So hopefully this shortens my learning curve and I can get productive on my laser.

Thank you and Kudos to you Russ for all you have done and continue to do.

Welcome, nice Laser/CNC Kit too :)

As a somewhat lapsed out of practice EEng who started with Autocad 2.x way back when, I have been doing a fair bit with Fusion 360 over the last year or so. It has some great tools that translate to 2 or 3D. Unless you are earning 100k+ a year it remains a freebie too.
