I've created an RLD file in v8.01.19. The file looks fine in my version of the software and the simulation runs just fine. I've sent the file for cutting to a dude running v8.01.18. He can't open the file with his version of the software. Is this a version compatibility issue? Or possibly what might be the issue?

Thanks for any help somebody might have for me.

Without a change log unlikely you could figure out what was changed. Best option is to export it as an Adobe Illustrator file then email that over so it can be imported back into the older version at the other end.

I downloaded 8.01.26 just to look at and see how good bad or ugly it is from here http://en.rd-acs.com/down.aspx?TypeId=5 ... 4:50074:14 Interesting Firefox wouldn't download it without an error I finished up having to use Chrome. Not the first download I have had an issue with FF either

RDWORKS versions are not backward compatible (18 can't read 19) AND when you try to open 19 in a system loaded with 18 ..the system with 18 is usually fouled up until reinstalled.

If you export files as an *.ai, he will be able to import without any issue.

As I figured. Thanks so much for verifying the incompatibility issue.
