A long while back I swapped to a dual red dot setup on my laser, after many runs on of the wires broke inside the guide chain, replaced it with a new wider guide chain and all new wires in hopes that since there was more room inside there wouldn't be as much strain on the wire. Well it seems that one of the wires has broken again or in the process. The red dot works intermittently, if I jiggly the wires it will come back on. What else can I do to prevent this from happening?
Everyday I'm learning

700mmx500mm TR
Flatbed rotary

Is the wire a solid core or multistrand conductor?
All wire has a max bend radius and there are different sheathings to support frequent motion vise a static installation.
More slack may be the answer but solid core is not a good canidate for your application.

The radio control world uses high end silicone insulated wiring with many strands of copper within. It's common in the larger gauges to find wires as thin as human hair inside the insulation. I did a quick search and find that using the term "ultra-flexible" will result in good search returns. It's going to be more expensive than the thicker heavier strand wiring, but consider what you've gone through to replace the broken wiring. I've done it for a stepper motor and it's not fun at all!
