I want to have a key (doesn't have to actually be keyed) that I have to plug into the machine to enable the laser. I want the key attached to my car keys (so that I never leave the key in the machine).
Has anybody found such a device, or made one?
My machine has a hole next to the USB ports for an up/down switch (no switch installed). Is there something simple that would attach to that hole?

Google "key switch". One example is https://www.amazon.com/Baomain-Terminal ... 39466011_1
Wire that into one of the interlocks as shown at the bottom of the Ruida controller diagram (search the forum for the image).
I'm not sure how to program the controller to check for the switch before operating - you'll have to search The Manual (also here on the Forum) for an answer (or perhaps someone else knows and will tell us).
