Ron here from Whangarei, NZ.
I'm a bit into wood working (lathe) and got interested in engraving.
Started binge watching the vids from Russ and am now hooked.
I don't even have my engraver yet, I'm in the process of ordering a China brand 700*500 80w.
I know I will learn a lot from reading the posts here and most likely will ask a question or two when needed ;-)

Welcome Ron- before buying is a great time to do some research on a laser, not usually how it works tho. The good news is that there is a ton of info on the web that was not available a few years ago, and some of it is true . Gene

Hi Gene,
Yes, I have been doing some research and had some great advise from Russ.
The one I"m ordering I told them to upgrade some components but at the end of the day, it still will be China made device so fingers crossed.

Most things are fairly easily upgradeable- consider the best tube you can afford and 3phase steppers.
