Hello,
I have a chinese knock off supposedly 100w laser engraver. Bought it 3 years ago and got it up and running correctly about 2.5 years ago. Had a bunch of little "lack of quality manufacturing" issues. Anyway it has been running well and today my laser stopped firing. I am pretty sure i need a new laser tube. Here is the problem, 1.5 years ago i thought the tube was bad and bought a 100w laser tube from camfive. I had a tech come out to install it and it did not work, i do not remember the error code it gave. The tech suspected the power supply was not for a 100w as stated. He put my old tube back in, aligned the laser and it has been working ever since. So my question for you, anyone please is how do i find out what wattage my laser tube actually is so that i can replace it. The power supply and laser tube labels do not have the info needed. Thank you
Laser Tube Replacement

Is it true that the smaller diameter tubes deliver the same small focus point, which is good for engraving? Is the focus point becoming bigger with the length too? Or is this just a myth I have in my head?

Spot size/focal point is determined by the lens not the size of the tube
