Is it possible to make RDWorks go over cuts more than once in the same manner that Lightburn does?
It needs to be an option if they haven't got it already.

I could have sworn that there is an option for that but I cannot find it right now. As far as us [long time] sufferers of RDworks, there is no possibility of our influencing the changes to RDw. LightBurn is definitely overtaking it, and one of the things I love about it is being able to suggest changes and actually getting an answer to our input from the mighty Oz [and he now has helpers] as to whether it can be implemented or why it cannot or ,sometimes, why it is not actually a good idea and why. I have four years in with RDw and am slowly switching over to LB. Oz is/was a member here and I have watched in wonderment as his creation has matured, and I am proud of what he has built.

In the output tab, there is an option to enable feeding. I've used this option with a setting configured to provide a suitable time lapse for me to apply something (can't remember what) before the laser starts the same path again.
For multiple burns, you'd only have to set a suitable time for your patience.

If I need to cut twice, I copy the cut layer, create it as another layer in another color (sometimes at a little lower power to insure a good cut after the first cut) and then stack it on the previous layer. Be sure to assign your layers in the order you want them.

There is a lot of merit to Willys process of performing multiple passes using layers.
However, sometimes you don't need multi layer for the task - in which case you can use the feed command

This sounds like a good idea. I like lightburn but bridging is pretty much non existent, and in RDworks it's just a couple of clicks away. I'll give this a try, many thanks.Willy Ivy wrote: Wed Jan 01, 2020 If I need to cut twice, I copy the cut layer, create it as another layer in another color (sometimes at a little lower power to insure a good cut after the first cut) and then stack it on the previous layer. If you have mixed cutting and engraving, would this option not also create multiple passes over the engraving parts as well?Pete Cyr wrote: Wed Jan 01, 2020 There is a lot of merit to Willys process of performing multiple passes using layers.

Not sure exactly what version introduced it, but there's Repeat Num in the Cut Layer Parameters in newer version s of RDWorks. I thonk I heard that it's present for Scans in the latest version, too, but haven't verified that.

You only copy the cut areas, not the engrave. Ungroup, click the parameter or whatever, copy, set to another layer and stack it.
