I'm Matic, a full laser hobbyist. I bought a 80 W china Red and Black machine. I mainly use it for wood (plywood and hardwood) projects and testing.
Like Russ I like to explore and upgrade the machine. For example, I added a stop switch to the Z axis, because I broke the belt pulleys first time I lowered the bet to the bottom.
Of course, I added also an amp meter.But I still have much to learn - like engraving details, acrylic, glass, rotary ...
