Thank You

I use a cheap air regulator/dryer to lower the pressure to 30 pounds or so the solenoids are not powered unless the laser power is on.

Hi Gene Thank You for your reply .... here is a pic of my current setup .... using a 10 Gal. California Compressor @ 40 psi .... what I would like to do is scan at 10 psi and cut at at 40 psi .... does the Cloudray Ultimate Assist turn the air off when not running and when I want to scan and have the settings in scan with air assist off I could set the flow to 10 psi ? .... basically what I'm trying gain is a Dual Air Assist if I can.
Also would I need to remove my current Solenoid?
Right now I have my current setup that it is on with the Laser running ... and off when it is not.
I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say here:)
Take Care

I am sure it can be wired to do that- I don't have their schematic in front of me right now. If it does not do what you want I am sure some of the smart Kids can help out. My internet comes and goes at home now that everyone is staying home now.

actually, i think the air-assist is only on/off depending on the "wind" pin of the controller. you can nevertheless adjust a by-pass so that you get always some air flowing even with wind off.Brian Book wrote: Fri Mar 27, 2020 Hi Gene Thank You for your reply .... here is a pic of my current setup .... using a 10 Gal. i think there is another pin for "working" status, supposed to set on/off a light (some machine have this natively).
so you could get a finer status handling :
- if "working", then open flow valve #1
- if "wind", then open flow valve #2
and a bypass after valve #1 to deliver 10 psi, and the valve #2 to deliver 40 psi when open.
if not working at all, valve#1 is closed, so you have no air at all.
the schematics should be very close to the ultimate air assist, you just need one more solenoid, more wiring and tubing, and the bypass should be located between the 2 valves/solenoids.

Brian, just got my Cloudray ultimate air assist 2 days ago. I ordered it on March 2nd. Try to hook up this weekend. Removed the sided cover and peaked in at the controller. I already have a green connector in the controller with a wire in the 24 volt + and one other pin but I don't recall which one. Will have to figure out what is up with that first.

Don't know how it's going to work yet with the kit but I have both already piped to my laser with manual ball valves to control into my nozzle. One line and valve from shop air and one from the aquarium pump. So right now I use whichever I open. Still hoping to be able to use either one. Aquarium pump for most jobs and shop air for heavy cutting.
