Pete has added an indication of which Ruida controller you have to the profiles that members fill out when they join, I expect that it may avoid some confusion in the future. Existing members, click your name and then on Profile, and then Edit Profile please. Especially the members who have new machines with the 6445 controllers and those who have upgraded to the newer controller. Thanks Gene

Laser Machine Make or Type: Kehui
Laser Power: 50W
Laser Bed Size: 500mmx300mm
Home Position: TL
RDWorks Version: 8.01.24
Ruida Controller: RDC6442
Windows Version: Win10 Enterprise
Accessories: Spray bottle with water (for small fires)
Fire extinguisher (for big fires)

Perhaps it would be helpful to remind us how we can tell the difference. RDWorks 8.01.24 just shows that I have a 644XG, with no indication if X=2 or X=5. And my controller has no label on it at all.

Thanks!

Most of our controllers are 6442s- the 6445 was released in 2019 I believe and the readout is larger- 6445 below:

I am insulted, sir. How dare you say that I ripped off the tag. I did NOT rip off any tag. I lasered it off! LOL :-) :-)

Oh! Well, that is entirely different: Sub sect 113 of Mattress Ordnance 27652A Cites "Controller Tags removed by Laser acceptable to access terminal connection in pursuit of repair providing that Objective Quality Evidence is affixed inside the left upper corner unless the corner is radiused greater than 1/4" to 6mm as measure with photogrammetry.
