Has anybody here used a rotary for curved items? Not round, but curved.
My example would be something shaped like a pocket whisky flask. Not flat on the wide face, but not round either.
I can only think of two solutions for something like this, well three, but two are variants. The first is what I asked about, using a rotary. The only other possible thing i could think of would be some kind of auto focus Z unit. I know they have the stepper driven heads that are $$$. Would be nice if they sold just the sensor and I could hook it to my bed Z drive... oh well.
Any info out there wold be greatly appreciated.
