Hi, I'm Brandon
I own a home business just outside of Seattle, Washington.
I own 2 CNC routers, and a vinyl printer/cutter. I've recently purchased
a co2 laser to add to my shop. It's this one from Toolots.

I got it up and running no problem. But after trying a handful of different types of jobs and having inconsistent results and thinking it was my laser setups or material problems. I starting inspecting the machine closer and figured out that manufacturing of this machine was not very good. Which isn't a huge surprise. But the amount of issues was pretty irritating. The gantry was bowed a little over a 1/16",
the Y rails were't level to each other, the bed wasn't flat and was twisted, and a handful of other things that I've had to tweek or modify. But I think I'm finally starting to get it dialed in. Which I'm excited about and excited to get this machine making some products. I love the amount of info and knowledge that I've seen so far on this forum and can't wait to get to learn more and get the most out of my machine.

Welcome Brandon - recommend you read the FAQ section and backup the Laser system software to forestall future headaches.
Sounds like you are learning the ins and out of the import lasers from the bottom up - best wishes.

Looking at the website it would seem they used good components anyway- altho the 3000w cooler will not be up to extended use as it is a radiator and fan based cooler rather than a refrigerant based chiller. The good news [does not seem like it now I know] is by the time you get the machine funcional you will have a lot more knowledge. Let us know if we can help. Gene

With the 3000w Chiller, living in Western Washington it's generally mild here, with some occasional below freezing and extreme highs. Summer months are usually are low 80's, with a week or 2 of high 90's.
During that time of 90+ I keep my shop closed up and it stays a fair amount cooler and heated for winter months. But do you think a refrigerated chiller should still be something I should look at getting?

I would just keep it in mind and see how much cutting you do and how long the sessions are.
