I'm not sure why the cuts would misalign with the scan in the Y direction.

I think the cut is in the correct place. The scan is in the wrong place (it is 7mm too far to the right). You can adjust this by going to
CONFIG -> SYSTEM SETTING
Tick the box named "Scanning (Reverse Interval)".
Add a setting for the speed you're scanning. Try different values for "Offset repay" (in English, this should be "Offset Compensation"). You may need to put in a negative number (-7.00).

Good luck!

Hi Jeffery,

I'm having a similar problem, but it doesn't seem consistent. I have a 50W Chinese Orion Motor Tech laser (12x20 bed) with a Ruida controller and RDWorks. I've gone in and set the Scanning and reverse interval to align the bi-directional printing. I followed https://cartonus.com/how-to-improve-eng ... r-machine/ for instructions and was able to print a small square at a low interval (.5) to see if the lines were good.

After that I printed my artwork. The strange part is the scan area and the outline cut area area not aligned. in some places. I'm engraving a series of letters. Some of them line up without issue and others do not. It seems somewhat random. I can't figure out where to go from here. Any thoughts?

Hi Mike,

A picture, as they say, is worth a thousand words :-) Would you mind posting a picture of both the letters that align and those that don't align?

I have some opinions and some suggestions, but they may not apply to your issue, so I'd like to understand your issue a little better first.

Regards,

-Jeff
