Attempting to help a guy figure out / isolate a problem with his Epilog. I wasn't aware that Epilog used gray scale as power. Is there any way to bring that into RDWorks and get a similar image?

Gene, do you run Lightburn? A guy posted a test pattern, but he posted it in a lbrn file. I would love to convert it to at least a dxf, if not a cdr or an ai.

Here you go. I have Corel for other things, so it's a convenience thing for me. No sense paying for another program if I don't need it, especially if it has an annual update fee. I export it to RDWorks to set some cutting parameters and cut orders and then it goes to the laser. Short of a few test patterns once in a while I don't do any design work in RDWorks.
It will be interesting to see what the new RDWorks redesign will be like. I've played with a beta that has a camera feature in it, and the redesign is supposed to be multi file, cut and paste, etc. More like modern design programs. Who knows.

Well gene, I guess I need you to take a look at the lightburn file after all.
The Corel and svg files he posted are almost exclusively bitmaps. I can't open the lightburn file, but when I open the Corel, I have a little bit of text at the top and left, a red layer and a black layer. The last two being bitmaps. For the shading, the black layer may need to stay a bitmap, but I need to vector engrave / cut the red layer. To do that it needs to be lines, not a bitmap. I'm hoping he just didn't export it properly. Tell me what you think. If the black layer can be converted to lines, then i could mix and match between lines and bitmaps to see what comes out best when exported to RDWorks. Hell, at this point I'd take an rld file. I can at least work backwards from that.

I'll give it a try. the thing I liked about the one the guy got from ThingVerse is it had a few sections of living hinge as part of the test as well as cut test all in one run.
