U axis problem

Just completed a conversion from TopWidom TL-403CB to a Ruida RDC6445G controller. Everything seems to function correctly except the U axis. When pushing the arrow keys either way, the stepper motors sound like they are engaging but there is no movement up or down of the table. I tried different step lengths from 0 - 14. Everything was functioning properly prior to the controller switch over. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
