I bought a laser for a play toy about eight years ago. I think I watched every one of Russ's videos at least twice. I kept remaking the laser, larger tube, more power, etc. I cut many of the materials listed as ok, got fairly adept at testing the system, and also fairly handy at fine tuning it, I never could get comfortable with the RDWorks, though. It didn't help that my version of RDWorks was for Windows 7, and I didn't have a computer that old. I had one given to me eventually, but it had its own glitches to go along with the inherent confusion of RDWorks. I'm joining this forum to see what direction I should head at this point, new software, new computer, new laser........

Welcome Jesse. RDWorks pretty much stinks....take a look at Lightburn...you can download a trial for free. I think you will be impressed. The developer lives in the us and is very receptive to feedback and provides assistance when needed.
