As I build this, I'm sure I'll have a question or two along the way.

I've look at a lot of different plans and I taking all of that in and using what I think is the best for what I want.

I have a stockpile of 2020 and a few pieces of 2040 T slot on hand along with a lot of bolts and T nuts. I had to order a mirror and head set, 4 pulleys and belt for the Z axis from China a couple of weeks ago and hope they get here next week. I had bought a Light Objects X-7 DSP controller used off ebay and a 60 watt tube and power supply a few years ago for my 600 X 1200 that I'm also in the process of building. In my stash, I have a 1500mm of HIWIN 15mm rail that will be used on the "Y" axis and bought a 1000mm piece of MGM12 from Amazon for the "X" axis.

I the basics drawn up in sketchup. But I know there will be changes as I build it.

I looked for the "homebuilder fourm" and can't find it !!!! :)
All though, I did build most of my house by my self. It took me about 20 months to build it while working full time.

Got the "Y" rails mounted

Made the bearing block plates for the "Y". I milled one side so that they have a no interference (tight) fit in the slots of the 2040. On the other side I milled them so the ground edge of the blocks will fit tight against a true edge. By doing this, it should be a almost perfect 90 degree to the Y axis

X axis is installed. I already have some modifications to do to my drawings. 15mm wide belts take more room than I thought they would.

Should have the X and Y motor mounts done and mounted tomorrow.

Motors are mounted. I made the mounts so they lock into the T slots like the "Y to X" blocks. I did this so that the "Y" motor shaft was perfectly straight with the rail cause I'm going to use solid couplings to the drive shafts.
