Hi all,

I was hoping someone had one of these lasers, I've just got a phone call that the y-axis belt has snapped (sounds like it was 'stapled' from the manufacuter and has done it's time) so I need to replace it.

I'm not there now and would be great to order one, believe it's a HTD 3M, but wondered if anyone had experience with that machine as I don't know the how the tensioning works..

Also, the pulley don't lend themselves to a continuous belt from memory (not 100%) so I'm guessing I need to join it so looking for advice there please.

Many thanks in advance.

Exactly which belt, located where and what length? I just went down and looked at long ones that drive the gantry in the y axis direction. Unfortunately, no labeling on either one.

Are you sure it snapped? Did you take a look to make sure one of the ends didn't just slip out of the clamping mechanism? You can look at the X axis ends to see how the clamping system works.
