Hello everyone,
I work for an occupational health and safety management software company and we have just acquired a Chinese laser to identify our padlocks and the equipment for our LOTO Lockout-Tagout software.
We did our first test yesterday and we have much the same problem as this post from Mr. Cyr.
Post title: Y-axis does not move... as soon the laser fires. but is fine before, or after restart
Unfortunately I don't see the solution to this problem ... Please help!

Welcome Eric- that post was actually from sebastien laforet [France I think]- Pete Cyr is our main guy and he had to restore a lot of posts that were deleted a few years ago. He and I were working on Bodor lasers and they were badly engineered and badly converted to a longer tube. We were having problems with the high voltage bleeding into the control circuits and causing havoc. Be very sure your machine is attached to a good ground- a water pipe or similar is best. I drive a 3 foot copper plated rod into the ground and use that personally.
Try that first and if you are still having problems please read the thread in the FAQ about how to ask a question- it will help you help us to answer the question. If you have not, save your Vendor [Machine] files as they are often lost in the early days of trying to solve other problems. Gene
