Hi,
Hope someone can steer me in the right direction. Just completed a 50W 700x500mm laser. Seem to be having a problem. When i run a scan test with speeds faster than 400mm/s the laser barely moves and only creates dots, when it should be filling a 200x200mm box.

I've tried 500mm, 600mm, 700mm, all give me the same result. No problems at 100mm, to 400mm.

Using a Ruida RDC6445G with Lighburn.

Hope someone can help, thanks.

It is odd that the laser head”barely moves” at speeds greater than 400.
However, I would not recommend running at speeds faster than 400mm/sec.
The response time of the controller and the pulse frequency of a glass tube laser do not do well faster than 400mm/sec.
You will get a crappy engraving when moving faster than 400.

Was my stepper settings. They were too high. Using 2000 now and recalibrated movement and works fine now.
