Hello there , no idea if this is in the correct section or not , seeking some advice whilst rather puzzled . Ok heres what happened i was cutting very successfully until pressed the pulse button (by accident) , making some test cuts now to see if i can figure out the issue. as you can see from the pictures i have lost cutting area
Should i reset the Axes ?
I looked at the settings and made sure the laser head was top right , however when i press the origin button on the ruida panel I've lost maybe 6 inches of cutting area .
Also what is the little red box on the 'movement arm' , is this a switch of some sort ?
I'm very new to all of this and im afraid of buggering it up
many thanks
John

Not sure what the issue may be.
1. The red thing is a proximity switch - during startup it senses the position of of the gantry or the laser head - (i cant tell which from the picture)
2. Turn the machine of wait 5-10 sec turn it back on (this resets the laser controller ) - watch the gantry and the laser head - both should move to a corner...stop back off a wee bit and then move back to the corner and then move to where ever you origin is set
3. open your file and press "Frame" on the laser key pad to see if the laser head will move around the perimeter of you file
If it you did every thing and step 3 failed but step two performed as described then check you page setting in RDWORKS - -If that is correct I go have a beer or two and wait for someone smarter than me to chime in
