Control Software: LIGHTBURN
RDWorks Version: RDw .19 & Lightburn

Ruida Controller: RDC6442
Windows Version: Win 10 Pro
Accessories: I have a combining lenses, pin tables [homebuilt], honeycomb tables , wireless remote, Modifed Ultimate Air Assist, home built non-powered rotary device, PrusaMK4 and Mini Prusa printers.

I have a sample of 1/2" Gatorfoam- black polystyrene core and looks like a paper surface of some kind that I am doing test cuts on- I get the foam burning away from the cuts [very nice and evenly] and of course what I need is a nice straight cut. Does anyone have experience with other foam boards that the core does not melt away. We would like to cut large letters for a gym wall. Thanks Gene

I dimly recall that Russ had good luck with Foamcore by using "dot" mode. The ordinary "cut" mode was only good if you want to set the material (and the laser) on fire.

The video MIGHT have been in his Thinklaser series.

That is a good thought Jeff- I will pursue that. Gene
