How crazy am I? Anyone have ever done this? I was thinking of mounting the diode laser on the backside of my existing laser head. My Ruida 6445S will control two lasers so...

I am not sure what the advantage would be? And are not diode and CO2 lasers controlled completely differently?

Basically they are run from the PWM just like a 'big' laser... Co2 has an 'enable' along with pwm, but in the end, it would be simple to hook it up as Laser 2. More trouble mounting it, not controlling it...
